The Opening Ceremony was held at Jogbudha Hospital on 2nd October 2016 chaired by the President of Health Facillity Operation and management Committee (HFOMC) Jogbudha hospital, Mr. Tara Sing Bohora in presence of other Guests; Mr. Prem Ayer HIV focal person of DPHO Dadeldhura, Mr. Sandesh Neupane PC Prevention NCASC/GF, Mr. Bishal Subedi, M & E Officer NCASC/GF, Mr. Mr. Ashok Bom, General Secretary-Multi Purpose Development Society (MPDS) Dadeldhura, Mr. Durga Mani Chataut, PC-MPDS, Dadeldhura and the representative of local governmental and non-governmental organization.
All the staffs from Jogbuda Hospital and the PLHIVs of Alitaal VDC, Parsuram Municipality and neighboring VDC also attended the inauguration program. The Program was facilitated by Sr. AHW Mr. Hikmat Singh Dhami and the note taking was done by Mr. Bishal Subedi, M&E Officer- NCASC/GF.
At the beginning, Mr. Prakash Ghimire-Health Assistant, Jogbuda Hospital (ART Dispensing trained) welcomed the participants and expressed his contentment on the opening of ART dispensing center. Thereafter, Mr. Sandesh Neupane, Prevention Program Coordinator-NCASC shared the rationale and urgency of opening the Dispensing site at Jogbuda Hospital. He also further more updated on the national HIV program and stressed on the major activities that need to be focused by the hospital and the staffs to strengthen the HIV services like PMTCT, HTC etc.
Mr. Prakash Darji, Medical Superintendent, Jogbuda Hospital thanked the NCASC team and DPHO for starting the ART dispensing site at Jogbuda Hospital. He stressed on the optimum use of the dispensing center by the PLHIVs. Dr. Darji was followed by Mr. Ashok Bom, General Secretary MPDS, he also expressed his important view on the establishment of the dispensing site at Jogbuda and congratulated all the PLHIVs for getting the dispensing site nearby them.
From the PLHIVs community, Mr. Ganesh Tiwari highlighted on the importance of the newly established site, he expressed his gratefulness to the NCASC and the DPHO for their regular and continuious support to the HIV clients. At the end of the program, the chairman of the Program Mr. Tara Singh Bohora promised to provide the necessary guidance and support to the hospital for strengthening the HIV program. He heartily thanked the NCASC team and the DPHO for their tremendous effort to establish the dispensing site. After the establishment of the dispensing site, around 29 clients will get the continuous service and the clients who need the further treatment would be referred to the sub-regional hospital. Before returning from the site, the NCASC team also provided the onsite coaching on recording, reporting and logistics management matters.
