Ending The AIDS Epidemic as part of the Sustainable Development Goals

HIV Program Review Meeting Mid-Western Development Region 26 -27 June, 2016 Nepalgunj

National Center for AIDS and STD Control (NCASC) conducted two days HIV Program Review Meeting of all districts of Mid-western Development Region at Nepalgunj on 26 to June 2016.


The objectives of the Meeting were to:

  1. Share recent updates on National HIV Response including latest Epi-updates
  2. Highlight about the key HIV-related programmatic approaches and roles at districts
  3. Discuss about the status HIV-related reporting to HMIS by the service sites in the district
  4. Discuss issues and challenges related to HIV-response at the district
  5. Identify improvement areas and support for strengthening HIV-response at the district

A total of 30 participants (Female 7, Male 23) representing MWRHD,  13 districts (Public) health office and hospitals including ART Counselor were participated in the program.

Besides this 2 EDPs were also participated in the program (UNICEF and FHI 360).





Types of Participants:

Director NCASC, Director and HIV focal person of MWRHD, NCASC GF team, Regional SCI team, EDPs working on this region, D(P)HO, HIV focal person of the district and ART Counselor from hospitals within this region.


District Participated

Pyuthan, Dang, Salyan, Rukum, Rolpa, Banke, Bardiya, Humla, Jumla, Kalikot, Mugu, Dailekh, Surkhet. Among 15 districts of the region, total 13 district was participated in the program. (Jajarkot and Dolpa were not participated)
