National Integrated Biological and Behavioral Surveillance (IBBS) Survey among PWID

NCASC conducted a nation-wide descriptive cross-sectional survey among people who inject drugs (PWID) in all Provinces of Nepal to generate both national and subnational HIV estimates. Survey population were PWID who were 15 years and above in age, having injected drugs for non-medical purposes at least once in the past six months, living in the Province where the survey is being conducted and having Nepalese citizenship. The total sample size for the 2020 IBBS survey was 1840 among which 1690 were males and 150 were females, calculated across seven districts.
