Trainers' Training (ToT) on PMTCT starts on June 18

 

With the objective of preparing a pool of trainers by providing knowledge and skills on PMTCT, a 5 days’ ToT on PMTCT has been started on 18 June 2014 at Hotel Seto Gurans, Thir Bam Marga, Baluwatar, Kathmandu. Altogether 19 participants (Medical Officers, Health Assistants, & Staff Nurse) from different districts and health institutions are participating in the training.

The ToT will provide the participants comprehensive knowledge and latest updates on PMTCT services in Nepal. Furthermore, it also will develop/enhance the skills of the participants provide PMTCT services in their work situation, on site coaching and work as PMTCT trainer when and where necessary.

Staff members of NCASC and other HIV experts/physicians are facilitating the ToT.
